The aim of this study was to study the effectivness of communication skills training on family function of mothers of children with impaired mobility in Shiraz. The present method implemented as quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest plan with control group. Population of this research includes 120 mothers of children with impaired mobility of Shiraz. Sample of this research includes mothers that tested before presenting direct variable of participants, which includes questionnaire of family function, 80 mother selected which score was below than average and 60 mothers of children with impaired mobility selected randomly (30 sample group and control group). Duration of training communication skills were 8 session, 120 minutes. Sample group trained and control group did not train. Required tools of this research were family function questionnaire (FAD) and statistical data analyzed using T-different method. Obtained results showed that communication skills training is effective on improvement of family function of mothers of children with impaired mobility (P<0.05).
